Gerotto among the protagonists at the 1st International Safety Workshop

In the historical setting of Palazzo Bo in Padova, the 1st International Safety Workshop was held on 28 April, organised by ICEA Department of Civil, Building and Environmental Engineering – University of Padua and the Department of Industrial Engineering – DII UNIPD.

An event on the occasion of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work that brought together experts, companies and institutions to discuss the impact of new technologies on worker safety.

🔵 Gerotto shared his experience in the field with the speech:
‘The Future of Industrial Safety: Remote-Controlled Robots in High-Risk Environments’.
A speech that resumed the paper published in the conference proceedings focusing on the evolution of robotic no-man entry systems for industrial cleaning and their integration with artificial intelligence and advanced sensor technology.

Our contribution sparked great interest and dialogue on how the integration of advanced sensor technology into robots and their implementation within ecosystems that also contain operators with smart DPI and wireless sensor environments will increase the level of operator safety but also reduce collateral damage to equipment.
Our participation in this event reinforces our commitment to building bridges between academic research and companies, transforming innovation into real solutions that protect those who work daily in complex environments.

‘This conference,’ comments Alessandro Gerotto, CEO of the company, ‘is the result of the courage and proactivity of the engineering faculty of Padua. It is an Italian and international excellence that wanted to open the doors of the University to companies and experts in the sector to address together crucial issues for the future of work in construction and industry. As a manufacturing and service company, we have always been at the forefront of raising the bar on safety: our no-man entry robotic solutions, together with our fifty years of experience on construction sites, is a combination that we are happy to share with the University and the academic world’.
