Gerotto received a major recognition at the Global Tank Storage Awards, winning first prize in the Safety Technology category.
This award honors companies that are redefining safety standards in the tank storage industry through innovation and the development of new technologies.
Over the years, Gerotto has focused its investments on designing advanced robotic technologies for safe tank cleaning based on the “no-man entry” principle. This approach makes it possible to operate inside tanks and confined spaces without the direct presence of operators, significantly reducing the risks associated with hazardous atmospheres, flammable substances, and restricted environments.
A key element of this strategy is the development of systems specifically designed for hazardous areas, compliant with the ATEX Directive and the IECEx Certification System. These are essential requirements for operating in high-risk sectors such as energy, chemicals, and petroleum storage.
“This award represents an important recognition of the path we are pursuing,” said Alessandro Gerotto, Chief Executive Officer of the company.
“Safety has always been a guiding principle for Gerotto: we invest in robotics and certified technologies to eliminate human entry into high-risk environments and make industrial operations increasingly safer. This approach to innovation is now taking shape through projects related to artificial intelligence, where we act as an adopter of Physical AI technologies applied to robotics.”
The award received at StocExpo further strengthens Gerotto’s positioning among the most innovative companies worldwide in the field of safety applied to tank cleaning and operations in complex industrial environments.
